Nokia
Asha 309 ‘Coming Soon’ to Nokia UK
The
Nokia Asha 309 is the next Series 40 smartphone lite device running the Asha
Touch interface to be launched and Nokia UK has highlighted that it will be
coming to the UK.
The Nokia Asha 309 is
a 3-inch touchscreen device running the Asha Touch version of Series 40, so
you’ll find it reliable, well built and with a battery life that will simply
last. While it takes after the Nokia Asha 306 in terms of looks, it uses the same
capacitive screen tech as the higher-specced Nokia Asha 311, so you’ll find the
screen highly responsive and nice to use.

The
Nokia Asha 309 is billed as a ‘smartphone lite’ device as it offers everything
you need from a smartphone, greta connectivity, features and the ability to
download and install apps and updates on the go. However, the big difference is
that while full-fat smartphones are designed to be always connected, smartphone
lite devices have the cost-conscious in mind, so you’ll only be connected to
online services when you want to be, so saving you money!
In terms of features, the Nokia Asha 309
comes with a 2-Megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom you’ll be able to take
images up to a size of 1600 x 1200 pixels. Other features include 20MB of
internal memory, 64MB of RAM and microSD slot for expansion up to 32GB. It
measures 109.9 x 54 x 13mm and weighing in at 102g, it’s set to be a small and
compact phone.
Pricing has yet to be announced for the Nokia
Asha 309 but Nokia UK has updated its website to mark that it will be ‘Coming
Soon’ so at least we know it will be made available here in the UK.
